Wrong IP Address Leads to Child-Porn Accusation for Couple

Tech Law Prof Blog refers to this story (newspaper Wichita Eagle, 12/09/05) about a couple who was misidentified by their Internet Service Provider (ISP) in response to a police child porn investigation. The police confiscated their computer and interrogated them. Now, they are suing their ISP for invasion of privacy, breach of contract and defamation. They don’t blame the police. The ISP admits the mistake.
