Marc Wilmots (ex Schalke 04) wanted to resign as a senator, but there isn’t anyone left to succeed him. He then proposed a workaround: by refusing his salary as a MP he would - only de facto - resign as a senator, while officially still staying a MP.
An alternative was that minister Armand De Decker (same MR party) would resign as a minister and become a senator again. He didnt want this apparently... ?
