Die Domain-Recht News spekuliert über einen eventuellen Zugriff auf die Domain y.com.
Der US-Suchmaschinenbetreiber Yahoo! Inc. hat mit einer Marken-anmeldung die Debatte um die äusserst seltenen Ein-Zeichen-Domains unterhalb der generischen Top Level Domain .com neu entfacht: wie erst jetzt bekannt wurde, beantragte Yahoo bereits am 22. August 2005 die Eintragung der US-Wortmarke y.com. Doch ob Yahoo damit auch die Domain erhält, erscheint zweifelhaft.
