Wer 16 Stunden am Tag und sieben Tage die Woche arbeiten muß, ist nicht zwingend glücklich ob seines erfüllten Lebens. Ein erst 27 Jahre alter Associate von Freshfields in London, Matthew Courtney, verstarb am 09. Februar nach seinem Sturz aus dem sechsten Stock der Galerie Tate Modern. Unklar sind die Umstände des Todes. Vermutet wird, daß Courtney die Arbeitsbelastung einfach nicht mehr aushielt, wobei dem allerdings auch widersprochen wird.
As first reported by Lawyer News Daily last Wednesday (14 February), any suggestion that Courtney’s death was causally related to his workload at Freshfields is a distortion of the facts as they currently stand. It is still unclear whether Courtney was stressed or if his death was anything more than a tragic accident.
