Das sollte nicht überraschen, denn google hat bereits mit der Erstellung virtueller Güter (Sketchup) und Welten (Earth) Erfahrung gesammelt. Ob diese Produkte verbunden werden - also Sketchup-Objekte in Lively importiert werden oder Lively-Räume in eine Google-Earth-Umgebung eingebettet werden oder oder - ist bislang unklar.User Generated Content ist geplant - Urheberrechtler dürfen sich also die Hände reiben. Die AGB sind erstaunlich wortkarg ausgestaltet.
