Endlich: Spaß mit dem Bundestrojaner!

The Register berichtet über den Bundestrojaner und gibt dem Bericht den spaßigen Untertitel Baldrick-style cunning plan. (Wer Baldrick nicht kennt, dem hilft Youtube oder Wikipedia.)
The Register erklärt, dass der Verschickung des Bundestrojaners per E-Mail ganz leicht durch Verwendung von Ubuntu Linux entgegen zu treten sei und selbst Leute, die Windows benutzen, sich auf ihre Antiviren-Software verlassen könnten. Die Hersteller der Antiviren-Software würden nämlich aufgrund ähnlicher Erfahrungen in den USA für staatliche Malware kein Auge zudrücken.
The whole concept is loaded with irony. For one thing, German government computers, like those in the UK before them, are currently under targeted Trojan assault. Meanwhile, recently introduced German legislation criminalises possession of hacking tools through vaguely worded measures that also appear to make network security tools illegal, though this is yet to be tested in court.
Altogether the German Trojan proposals are a thoroughly bad idea.
