Do we need one and two Euro notes?

Some members of European Parliament have come up with a rather bizarre initiative – to replace the existing one and two Euro coins with noted. They claim that this will increase the growth of the European economy because this will ensure that people spend more money. It is very difficult to understand how this is going to happen. No really, I see absolutely no logic behind it. In my opinion exactly the opposite will be the case. There are very many firms which will have to face major costs. One of the clearest examples is the industry which operates vending machines. Not only will they have to change all the setting again (the last time they had to do was after the introduction of Euro which was not that long ago) but also technology which allows using notes in vending machines is much more expensive. It really seems that some MEPs have really nothing to do. Not only do they waste their own time but also the time of the whole Parliament by insisting that such trivial matters are debated by the whole Parliament. And this costs us, i.e. tax-payers, a lot of money.
