Die Mitglieder des britischen Oberhauses melden sich in ihrem virtuellen Sprachrohr, “Lords of the blogs“, zu Wort. Das Blog entstand in Kooperation mit dem unabhängigen Wohlfahrtsverband Hansard Society und soll vor allem Sympathien wecken.
Das sechsmonatige Blog-Pilotprojekt ging am 16. Januar 2008 online und soll Internetnutzer und die britischen Lords einander näherbringen. Hier berichten Lord Norton, Baroness D´Souza & Co. in tagebuchähnlichen Blogeinträgen von ihrem Arbeitsalltag, ihren Hobbies und politischen Interessen und sorgen so für mehr Transparenz des oft unverstandenen House of Lords. Anders als bisher bekannte Onlineauftritte von Politikern erhält man hier auch Einblicke in die Gedankenwelt …
