On the blog The Free West, at Welt.de, Walter Laqueur writes an article about Prof. Eric Hobsbawm, one of the world leading historians, who gave a speech at Lowell Lecture Hall at Harvard in which he implied that the American empire is going to fail.Walter Laqueur predicts what is very likely to happen after the disappearance of the American empire:
“The world of tomorrow, unfortunately, will be a far more dangerous place what with dozens of countries armed with weapons of mass destruction. In these circumstances a number of great powers, or superpowers ,will be needed to prevent a descent into something considerably worse than mere disorder. Neither the United Nations nor Europe will keep us safe, no one will volunteer for this unpopular and costly assignment. But someone will have to do it in the end …
