Gegenwärtig ist das Thema ja in aller Munde, und die Begehrlichkeiten sind groß. Nicht weniger als die Auswertung und Speicherung von Telefon- und Internetverbindungsdaten über einen Zeitraum von bis zu vier Jahren wünscht man sich mancherorts. Dieser Eingriff in die Bürgerrechte
geht natürlich nicht ohne eine Änderung der 1997 in Kraft getretenen Datenschutzrichtlinie (die ihrem Namen dann wohl nicht einmal mehr näherungsweise Ehre machen würde.)
Aus dem Umfeld der EU-Kommission ist heute jedenfalls ein Entwurf zum Thema “Data Retention aufgetaucht.
