Damages for Pain and Suffering

He explains the basic rules, function, types and assessment of these damages in both legal systems and cites some precedent. The article closes with a comparison of the two approaches and arrives at the interesting conclusion that the formerly significant gap in the assessment of these damages in Germany and the U.S. appears to close.
