Bruttonationalglück (engl. Gross National Happiness)
Eine neue Verfassung wird sich aller Wahrscheinlichkeit das (nach der Annahme: ehemalige) Königreich Bhutan geben.
Nach einer für unsere Begriffe etwas ausladend wirkenden Präambel:
BLESSED with the luminous benedictions of the Triple Gem, the protection of our guardian deities, the wisdom of our leaders, the everlasting fortunes of the Pelden Drukpa and the command of His Majesty the Druk Gyalpo, Jigme Singye Wangchuck; finden sich neben den sonstigen Bestandteilen einer modernen Verfassung (Gewaltentrennung, politische Parteien, bikamerales System, Pressefreiheit etc.) dann in Article 9 (Principles of State Policy) folgende interessante Ziffer 2: The State shall strive to promote those circumstances that will enable the successful pursuit of Gross National Happiness.
